5 Good Reasons to use Official Templates in Blogger

This might be one person opinion because everyone has his/her own taste or habit. But there are many good reasons with me to especially encourage using default template within your blogspot blog. Many blogspotters have their own opinion regarding this, some say they are not search engine friendly and some say they are not professional and etc. But, look at my template, I don't think it looks that bad.

I am not asking you to simply throw your current template in which you might have spent hundreds of hours on customization. But, if you are starting out or are just not pleased with your current template then I suggest you to start using one of the official template.

I simply don't understand why people (like me) without proper knowledge of HTML/CSS start to bother with third party template (not well formed), most of them are unaware of the fact that they can simply use official templates and blogger template customization tool to create beautiful and yet professional themes. Here are some reasons that might persuade you to start using official templates.

In my previous post I tried to explain about displaying custom widgets in mobile templates. As the use of smartphones is increasing day by day and people prefer using mobile to read blogs in spare times rather than PC. In fact it will save some time and is convenient to read through mobile while being in bed or may be bathroom.

So, you might already have installed feedburner email widget in your blogger blog. But, as that widget is not actually shown in your mobile template by default so you might miss some loyal readers. If there was a handy subscription box in the mobile version then it would be splendid.

Customize Mobile Template in Blogger

This is my first article related to blogger mobile template on this blog. In this post series we will be talking about some general customization of custom mobile templates if you are using official templates for your blog.
Those of you who are (using custom templates) not using official templates, you might as well as find this article useful to display custom widgets on the mobile version if you are using custom. Such as third party commenting system, third party ads etc.

There must not be so much problem on implementing and checking these techniques because blogger's mobile detection software detects a large range of mobiles. Though, I have found it not working in Opera modified (un-official) versions due to the proxy being used in them.

It may not be the perfect time to tell this as we know many 'socials' are not adjusted with the Facebook timeline yet. Internet users do care about privacy in social networks while Facebook blew it by scattering it all over the timeline view. Many things happened in past were revealed through the timeline, I personally did not liked it either.

But Facebook also taught people to be aware and stay alerted while using internet, like "be careful while updating status", "don't drink and update status cursing the principal". However nobody unwanted will catch you if you customize the privacy settings.
